Decent healthcare for all! No Healthcare charges for migrants! No immigration checks in healthcare!

Protest outside RVI Hospital, Main entrance, Gate 4, Queen Victoria Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4LP

The British Medical Association has recently passed motions condemning immigration controls in healthcare. They have stated that they will ‘engage with other health unions and professional associations to issue cohesive guidance to all NHS staff (including administrative staff) advising them not to partake in any process of monitoring or deciding upon a patients’ migration status.’

We applaud the stance taken by the BMA and are holding this protest to support their motion and help ensure it is acted on.
